This is my submission for the Be Afraid 2007 Halloween Contest that Deviant is hosting. For those who don't know, in a nutshell, the contest is to re-imagine your favorite horror film in some capacity. I love the characters involved in the Friday the 13th series so I chose that. Here's the explanation:
Pamela Voorhees lived what most would call a "cursed life." In and out of foster care and living on the streets she finally found herself a husband and she moved in with him. By the time she was 18 she was pregnant. The birth was anything but normal. She gave birth to hideous non identical twins. One was a small gangley thing with a hydrocephalic head. The other was a monstrously deformed, awkwardly large baby.
They managed to live in relative seclusion until the children were about school age. One night the father, drunk as he usually was, started to hit Pamela. The children became enraged and the two them killed him in a freakish manner. Now forced to provide for her children herself Pamela managed to get a job as a camp counselor at a the local summer camp. They let her stay there with the kids. The other counselors and the children were not so nice. The made fun of the twins and Pamela for birthing them.
On an average summer day Pamela jumped into the lake to help a drowning child. A nearby boater didn't see the two and hit Pamela, killing her.
The twins now had to fend for themselves and retreated into the forest. Legend grew around the camp about the "monsters" who lived in the forest. It was soon after that that campers started talking about seeing the ghost of a young councilor, and that is when the killing began.
It seems that Pamela was not done looking after her children and as for trying to take her from them, anybody who came to Camp Crystal Lake would be killed by the twins. This has been going on for years. Nobody knows if they are still there or not but it would be a safe bet to stay away from Camp Crystal Lake.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
